It’s hard to listen to Sebadoh without the context of Dinosaur Jr. So much of Lou Barlow’s work is colored with reflections on his tumultuous relationship with J. Mascis. On the other hand, if you focus too much on the vitriol in the past and the trail of history, you’ll miss out on really fuckin great music
